DATAmaestro Lake storage is calculated based on the following hypothesis:

  • 16 bytes / data point

For example, 2000 tags every 15 seconds:

  • 2000 * 365 * 24 * 60 * (60 / 15) * 16 bytes = 67.3 GB / year

Evaluation for DATAmaestro Analytics

DATAmaestro Analytics storage is calculated based on the following hypothesis:

  • 8 bytes / data point

Each time a user creates a resampled data file for analysis in DATAmaestro Analytics, a new file is created and therefore sufficient storage must be provided. 

For example, ten users each extract one file of 2000 tags sampled every hour for 1 year:

  • 10 files * 1 / 31536000 * 60 * 60 * 2000 tags * 8 bytes / 1000000000 = 1.4 GB
